Social entrepreneurs are people who use entrepreneurial strategies to work on issues related to the environment, poverty, or other social concerns. They do this by identifying needs and developing innovative solutions to these problems. Social entrepreneurs may be found in any industry including technology, education, healthcare, food security, etc.
The most well-known example of a successful social entrepreneur would have to be Muhammad Yunus with his Grameen Bank which provides loans for low-income women in Bangladesh.
